“The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows".
- Sydney J. Harries
At at Saraswati Aanchal School we turn mirrors into windows; windows through which the soul sees the world, feels the impact and flies with courage to shape the world of their dreams transforming the world and life itself.
As the principal of Saraswati Aanchal School my philosophy of education has always been meeting the needs of the individual child. Children acquire skills and knowledge easily if we can make the surrounding stimulating and purposeful.
In the 21st century the digital revolution affects us all. Quite simply it is changing everything. In such a surrounding when work and effort is evaluated the child’s self-esteem is brightened and from this results self motivation. We try to understand and work with each child and believe that it is our responsibility to enable the child to develop as a whole. Students must be prepared to be successful in 21st century careers. They must know how to think, how to solve problems, to innovate and to collaborate. They must be challenged beyond their comfort zone and encouraged to think critically and creatively. They must be provided with authentic learning experience and must be connected to adults who truly care. As the adults in their life, we must provide guidance in the development of their character. We must help students to act with compassion, accept responsibility and choose to do the right thing.
It has been a year filled with sorrow and joy, triumph and defeat, a year filled with lessons life has taught us. It has been a year where life and human spirit has faced obstacles and emerged victorious. We look ahead with renewed hope and new life to another wonderful period of imbibing both knowledge and values and acquiring holistic education that will make us better human being.
Always remember -
Only as high as I reach can I grow,
Only as far as I see can I go,
Only as deep as I look can I see,
Only as much as I dream can I be.
